This recording was made live on digital audio tape at a jazz festival in July, 1991. It was originally issued by Arbors Records on cassette only but we thought that the spontaneous, exciting jazz played by Rick Fay and his group was worth a second listen and merited issuance for the first time on CD. It exemplifies to us the best in Dixieland and more than justifies the on-location sound. We hope you will agree and be moved by the high energy generated by these outstanding musicians, which, after almost 20 years, is still exciting and sets toes to tapping. Good music is entertaining as well as eternal. The Producers
