Description
An inspired presentation of 13 classic songs given to us by the great Irving Berlin. The Best of Berlin includes plenty of surprises throughout this brilliant set as re-arranged and reinterpreted by the two reed-playing Anderson Brothers, Will and Peter.
A fully pan-generation mixture of jazz styles, ranging from New Orleans and vintage roaring ‘20s jazz, up through the swing and big band era, and right on up to early bebop and various mid-century modern styles. Spanning the gamut from 1920s hot jazz to 1950s cool jazz, they link all of these subgenres together via the medium of the Great American Songbook, putting the focus directly on the great songs of Mr. Berlin.
This is a recipe that appeals to practically everyone, especially jazz and songbook lovers of multiple generations, some who are even younger than Will and Peter.
